Give Back: 2022 Trailblaze Challenge

03.11.2022

Shannon Waltchack has assembled a team to hike in the 2022 Trailblaze Challenge supporting the Make-A-Wish Alabama. The SWishmakers Team includes Jeff Chopin, Cynthia Essary, Anna Kate Chambliss, Tim Blair, CCIM, Hunter Winslett and Jonathan Kahalley. They are each hiking 26.3 miles on the Pinhoti Trail and raising funds along the way to grant wishes to deserving local children with critical illnesses.

The first big hike is April 30th. We would love your support to help grant wishes to these special kids.

SW Team Members share below about why they have decided to participate in this impactful challenge. Enjoy a few photos from their training sessions!

“I participated in the Trailblaze Challenge last year and it was such an incredible, rewarding, life-changing experience that I wanted to get more people involved in this great cause. I’m incredibly proud of the SW team that is working hard to raise money to grant more wishes to critically ill children in AL!” – Jeff Chopin, CPM, EVP – Property Management

“I am hiking because Make A Wish wishes have such a huge impact for each child and their caretakers.  To be able to be a part of granting just one wish is such an honor.  I love being able to share this experience with my 6 yr old son and show him one of the many ways we can give back.  Our SW team is very fortunate to have the guidanceand passion of our leader Jeff Chopin.”
Cynthia Essary, Controller

“The mission of Make-A-Wish is one of hope and joy, making life-changing impact on so many across Alabama. I accepted the challenge in gratitude and celebration of the courage children and families gain through the power of a wish!”
