NEW CONCEPT BY ZOE’S FOUNDER OPENS IN CRESTLINE VILLAGE

01.11.2016

A few months ago, we reported that Principal Tim Blair, CCIM represented the landlord in the lease of 1,990 SF at the former CVS in Crestline Village to Sawtooth – Plantation, owned by the founder of Zoe’s Kitchen. He decided to open a new concept, Miss Dots in this location at 49 Church Street in Crestline Village.

We tried Miss Dots during their soft launch last week! Miss Dots specializes in fried or baked chicken. There are limitless possibilities for how it is served, from a fried chicken sandwich, to the lean chicken plate over sprouts. Their side options are modern yet southern, featuring delicious squash casserole, brussel sprout slaw, scalloped potatoes, etc. Our favorite part of the dining experience was the sauce bar, with many options and free refills! Standout sauces for us were the white BBQ, honey mustard, and their peppery Guthrie’s-like sauce. Everything was obviously fresh and made in-house.

The atmosphere was warm and bright. The staff was courteous and helpful. We watched a basketball game on the big screen in the small bar area. You order at the counter and take your number to your seat, much like Zoe’s Kitchen.

According to an interview with Village Living, the owners will plan to rapidly expand if their first two locations are successful. Miss Dots is a great addition to the family-friendly Crestline Village restaurants. We cannot wait to see how they perform in their next opening in downtown Tuscaloosa! We look forward to dining there again soon and trying more menu items!
