This spring we took some time as a team for a few excursions and celebrations. The more down time we spend together, the more we appreciate and enjoy each other in the workplace – plus, our team deserves to have some fun!
First, we kicked off the season with our first-ever Family day at Partner Len Shannon‘s home. The team came out on a Sunday afternoon to meet each others’ families and enjoy swimming, field games and lunch from the Milo’s Burger Bus!
Next, we visited the Birmingham Botanical Gardens for a guided tour of the beautiful plant life. Late April was the perfect time to catch the garden in full bloom! 
Later in May, we reserved a wine tasting at Golden Age Wine in Mountain Brook Village. We learned about summer wines and sampled a few delicious varieties from Spain and Italy. 
A week later, we walked a few blocks from the office to Regions Field to cheer on the Birmingham Barons as they played an early day game against the Huntsville Trash Pandas. We enjoyed a ballpark lunch and took in the views.
Finally, the SW Maintenance Team offered to host a fish fry for the team in June! They set up shop in a tent out in front of the office to batter some golden fish caught by Maintenance Technician Brian Smith!
We are proud of the group of professionals that call Shannon Waltchack home, and we value their commitment to their work. Company culture is built from the inside out, and we are thankful that we can build memories together.
